Get The Sun-Kissed Look: Stila Sun SPF 15 Bronzing Powder

Hi everybody! I think I'm officially back to "beauty blogging". It's been really hard to get natural light to take pictures since the sun sets so early here and I usually wake up very late. 

Luckily I remembered I had taken a few pictures of some products I wanted to review before I left Argentina and here is one of them:

The Stila Sun SPF 15 Bronzing Powder ($28) comes in very simple bronze case with a big mirror which reminds me of Tarte blushes.

Now, talking about the bronzer itself I have to admit that I'm very impressed, it gives the skin the most beautiful sun-kissed glow without looking too orange or too grey and even if it's a powder bronzer, it has a creamy consistency and sets very easily on the skin without leaving it looking dirty. 

This bronzer is available in two shades and I'm using the shade 2, which is a warm brown matte with a little bit of sparkle. I applied the bronzer all over my face and neck and did some nose contouring and I'm really happy with the results, I think this bronzer suits my NC30 skin beautifully and goes very well with my hair color. Also, this bronzer reminds me of MAC Hibiscus Kiss Blush/Bronzer duo (reviewed here) but this Stila bronzer is way more pigmented.

Finalmente vuelvo al mundo beauty blogger, no porque no haya tenido mucho tiempo para bloggear... el tema es que acá el sol se pone a las 15.30 y yo me despierto no mucho antes que ese horario y obviamente, me niego a tomar fotos con flash.

Por suerte tomé algunas fotos de productos que quería hacer review en Argentina y este es uno de ellos:

Stila Sun SPF 15 Bronzing Powder ($28) es un bronzer en polvo que viene en un envase compacto con espejo y si bien es muy práctico no dice mucho por afuera. Hablando de producto en sí tengo que admitir que es una genialidad, da ese look bronceado sin estar naranja y si bien es un bronzer en polvo tiene una textura cremosa lo cual hace que se quede en la piel y no la ensucie ni la deje polvorosa. Otro dato importante es que es matte con apenas unos destellitos de brillo, lo cual hace que se vea muy natural en la piel.

Este bronzer viene en dos tonos y yo usé el tono 2, me pusé el bronzer con una brocha de polvos en toda la cara y me "afiné" la nariz con una brocha de polvos más pequeña. Me gusta mucho como queda con mi tono de piel que es claro sin ser blanca papel aunque ultimamente Linus dice que estoy tan blanca que parezco muerta... así que me viene bien.

Se acuerdan de la review que hice de MAC Hibiscus Kiss Blush/Bronzer duo de Rihanna? (link aquí), bueno este bronzer es bastante similar salvo que tiene mucha más pigmentación.

Starting the day | Lush Tea Tree Water Review

As some of you know, I haven't seen my boyfriend in a while... He is in Sweden while I'm in Argentina and sometimes I ask him to send me stuff that I cannot get here, such as Lush products.

I had never tried Lush until the beginning of this year when I went to the US and I absolutely fell in love with it. I bought a little bit of everything but when I came home I felt like I could have bought more, so while looking for toners I found this one that rapidly caught my attention.

I'm a sucker for anything tea tree. Tea tree oil has helped me more than any other product I found this year and keeps helping me everyday to fight bacteria and dry up my blemishes thanks to its antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

Lush Tea Tree Water contains tea tree water that helps clearing out blemishes, balancing and clarifying skin tone. It's alcohol-free and also contains Juniperberry water that helps eliminate toxins and Grapefruit water that is used to enliven the senses and bring necessary minerals to the skin. It is recommended for oily, dull, tired and spotty skin but I think it's suitable for any skin tone, in winter my eyes and cheeks get quite dry and sensitive and spraying this all over my skin feels so refreshing... Oh, I love that morning feeling :)

I can't imagine my mornings without this toner and my Effaclar Mat moisturizer, my face feels fresh and plump. The only con I've found is that it has a medicinal scent, probably because of the tea tree water but I don't really mind it.

My boyfriend sent me the biggest bottle (250ml) that it's $21.95 and it's not the cheapest thing ever but I'll definitely ask him to get me another bottle once it's over!

Como algunas de ustedes sabrán, hace mucho que no veo a mi novio... Él está en Suecia mientras que yo estoy en Buenos Aires y a veces aprovecho para pedirle que me mande cosas que acá no encontramos, como productos de Lush.

No había probado nada de esta marca hasta marzo de este año que viajé a USA y me enamoré. Lush es un pequeño paraíso de colores, aromas deliciosos y gente muy buena onda dispuesta a darte una verdadera buena experiencia de compra. Sí, eso. 

En fín, compré varias cosas y volví sintiendo que quedaban tantas cosas por probar... por eso le pedí a Linus que me mandara esta Tea Tree Water por correo y recé para que llegara...

Entre los muchos productos que vende Lush elegí esta Tea Tree Water ya que es un toner que contiene agua de árbol de té. No sabés que es? Mirá acá o lo resumo en pocas palabras; es una planta con propiedades antisépticas y antibacteriales que ayuda a combatir el acné y que vengo ya usando hace meses todas las noches y me da excelentes resultados.

Este toner ayuda a clarificar la piel y balancear el PH natural. Es alcohol-free y contiene enebro que  es estimulante y descongestinante de poros y agua de pomelo que es un desintoxicante natural.

Lush dice que recomienda este toner para pieles oleosas, sin vida, cansadas y con granitos pero yo pienso que va bien con todos los tipos de pieles. Ahora en invierno mis mejillas y ojos se sensibilizan muchísimo y rociar este toner por toda mi cara hace que mis mañanas sean muy refrescantes :)

Y ya no imagino mis mañanas sin esta Tea Tree Water + mi Effaclar Mat, combinadas hacen que mi piel se sienta hidratada, muy fresca y el make up dura mucho más. Creo que encontré un combo exitoso para pieles oleosas y deshidratadas! La única crítica negativa que haría es acerca del olor de este producto, huele a medicamento y supongo que será por el agua de té de árbol pero no me molesta.

Esta botellita (250 ml) es la más grande y está a $21.95 USD, unos $120 que con lo caras que están las cosas no dudaría en pagar otra vez!

Best of 2013:Ja nuary to July

The first part of the year is gone... How did this happen so fast? I still cannot believe it.

Talking about beauty, I don't usually do monthly favorites so I thought it would be a good idea to think about the products I've been loving this year. But hey, those would be too many so here is a 'small' list of some products I found this year and that I cannot live without.

Y la primera parte del año se fue... Cómo puede ser?

Hablando de temas de belleza, muchas conocen ese TAG en el mundo blogger que se llama 'Monthy Favorites' donde uno habla de una pequeña cantidad de productos que anduvieron amando ese mes. Yo generalmente no hago esto pero sí encontré varias cositas este año que me encantaron y que ya no puedo vivir sin ellas... Aquí estan:

Eyes: I'm all about neutrals, shimmer or matte I love them all. The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette is pretty much perfect, a great color selection, very pigmented matte eyeshadows and the packaging is light, steady and comes with a big mirror.
I've been also loving all the L'oreal Color Infalible eyeshadows, I own a few and specifically like Iced Latte as it looks great on the browbone and the tear duct area. Many people rave about them, the quality is excelent and they are a great choice if you cannot afford high-end eyeshadows.
Last but not least, MAC Woodwinked is a lovely golden brown that a girl at a Mac counter convinced me to get. It looks gorgeous over black smokey eyes.

Ojos: Todos tonos neutros, shimmer o matte... me gustan todos. La paleta de sombras Naked Basics de Urban Decay fue mi joyita del año, con 5 tonos matte y uno shimmer, alta pigmentación y un packaging liviano pero fuerte se lleva todos mis suspiros. Ah, y tiene un espejote. 

También me encantan las sombras de L'oreal Color Infallible, tengo varias pero Iced Latte es mi preferida porque es ideal para usar en el hueso de la ceja, lagrimal y como iluminador. No siempre se encuentran sombras individuales de tan buena calidad en la farmacia.. La verdad que me gustan mucho y el precio es accesible comparado con sombras Mac por ejemplo.

Última pero no menos imporante, MAC Woodwinked es un marrón con tonos dorados que una vendedora de Mac me convenció de comprar... Es hermosa para usarla sola, con un smokey eye marrón o sobre un smokey eye negro.

Lips: I'm not a girl that wears too much lipstick but when I do it, it has to be something dark. 

During summertime I used Burt's Bees Pink Blossom daily, I don't really like light or bright lip colors but this tinted lip balm has just the enough amount of color I need, just a hint of pink that looks natural and feels very moisturizing.

Mac Rebel and Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick #107 are my favorite autumn/winter lippies. Rebel is a plum shade with an opaque finish and 107 is a deep burgundy with a velvety matte finish. Both have a great formula but 107 is the most longlasting one.

Labios: No soy de usar labiales diariamente pero cuando lo hago tiene que ser de un tono oscuro. Durante el verano solamente use Burt's Bees Pink Blossom casi todos los días. No me gustan los tonos claros ni muy vibrantes y este lip balm tiene el monto exacto de color que necesito aparte de ser súper hidratante.

Mac Rebel y Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick #107 son mis labiales favoritos para otoño/invierno. Rebel es un tono ciruela con acabado opaco y 107 es un color vino oscuro con acabado matte. Los dos tienen una muy buena fórmula pero 107 dura años.

Face: I cheated a bit here, The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer was purchased on 2012 but I didn't really get to use it until this year. This highlighter is shimmery without having any gross glitters, great for the tear duct area, great to be used alone as an eyeshadow and it comes with a huge mirror. It creates that healthy glow we all love. 

Talking about concealers I found that Inglot Cream Concealer in Peach is the best one to cover any blue/purple dark circles, it has a medium to full coverage and a luminous finish. I've been also loving the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Blemish Concealer #medium a lot, it has a liquid thick formula that contains salycilic acid that covered my blemishes and acne scars so well. Very recommended for acne sufferers.

Revlon Colorstay for Combination to Oily Skin in Fresh Beige is one of my favorite foundations. Well, it was my favorite until I got Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in Bamboo Beige! Both foundations are oil-free with a medium to full coverage, Revlon Colorstay has a semi-matte finish and lasts ages while Silk Creme has a luminous finish that doesn't last that long but it's a lot easier to remove from the skin. I set these foundations with my favorite drugstore powder, Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in light. I love this powder because it's a great dupe for Mac Blot Pressed Powder but way cheaper, it's very soft, colorless and comes with a big mirror for touch ups.

Talking about primers, I only have one favorite this year, Benefit The Porefessional that does a good job at minimizing the sizes of the pores and lasts a long time. 

And I'm cheating again when talking about blushes, my favorite this year so far has been the Physicians Formula Happy Booster which is a mix between a hightlighter and a blush but unfortunately is broken and I haven't fixed it yet. It makes me happy, the color is gorgeous and it's probably the only pink blush that suits me. My second favorite blush is Illamasqua Excite, a bright peach matte color that I love to wear during summer time.

Rostro: Acá hice un poco de trampa, The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer fue comprado en el 2012 pero no llegué a usarlo como dios manda hasta este año. Es un iluminador que no contiene glitters, va genial en la zona de lagrima, hueso de la ceja y como sombra también. Dá ese efecto de brillo saludable que me encanta.

Hablando de correctores, Inglot Cream Concealer en Peach es el mejor para cubrir cualquier ojera violeta/azul, tiene una cobertura medium to full y un acabado luminoso. También me encanta Neutrogena que es liquido pero denso, de alta cobertura y contiene ácido salicílico que trata los granitos. Usé muchísimo este producto cuando mis granos eran violetas (!!) y lo volvería a comprar mil veces, recomendado para las chicas con acné!

 Revlon Colorstay para combination to oily skin es una de mis bases favoritas. De hecho, era mi favorita hasta que apareció Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation en Bamboo Beige. Las dos bases son espesas, oil-free y tienen una cobertura medium to full. Colorstay tiene acabado semi-matte mientras Silk Creme tiene acabado luminoso y no es tan duradera como la de Revlon. Fijo estas bases con mi polvo Maybelline Dream Matte Powder en light, es muy liviano y un dupe para MAC Blot Pressed Powder, aunque diga que el tono es light yo lo encuentro traslúcido y viene con un espejo grande para retoques.

Hablando de primers sólo tengo un favorito este año, Benefit the Porefessional que hace un muy buen trabajo minimizando la apariencia de los poros, especialmente en verano... y dura muchísimo tiempo.

Y hablando de rubores de nuevo hago trampa, mi favorito no está en la foto porque se me rompió :( Es el Physicians Formula Happy Booster, el de los corazoncitos que todas conocen. Amo el packaging, amo que venga con una brocha suavecita y espejo y que deje un brillo rosa muy saludable en las mejillas. Mi segundo favorito este año es Illamasqua Powder Blush #Excite, un naranja coral matte altamente pigmentado como veran en las fotos, se necesita muy poco para dar color y lo más probable es que termines con la cara como un payaso la primera vez que lo usás. Muy lindo para el verano.

All About Primers for Dry, Normal, Combination and Oily Skin

Hi beauties! I've been meaning to do this post for a while now but I am really busy these days, it's kinda hard  to get used to work, go to the gym and then having some time to blog without falling asleep!

So let's talk about primers. A face primer is a cream, a gel or a lotion that is applied before foundation or concealer to improve  the texture of the skin and make our foundation last longer. Depending our skin type the primer can illuminate, moisturize and/or matify the skin.

I particulary have very oily skin and huge pores so I always look for oil-free primers that minimize my pores and help my foundation last longer. Here are a few pictures of how my sisters skin looks like without primer and with primers, I'm sorry I could not take pictures of my own skin but it's hard to take auto-pics of my pores.

Hola beauties! Traté de hacer este post hace rato pero estuve algo ocupada ultimamente. Me cuesta acostumbrarme a trabajar full time e ir al gimnasio, quedo muerta y sin ganas de estar frente a la compu!

Pero hablemos de primers. Un primer facial es una crema, gel o loción que se aplica antes de la base o el corrector para mejorar la aparencia de la piel y prolongar la duración de nuestro make up. Dependiendo nuestro tipo de piel el primer puede iluminar, hidratar y/o matificar la piel.
Yo particularmente tengo piel oleosa y poros gigantes así que busco algo que controle la oleosidad y que redefina la textura de piel minimizando la apariencia de los poros y ayudando a la base a durar más. Acá les muestro los primers que uso en la piel de mi hermana ya que es muy complicado sacar fotos de mis propios poros!

My sister has combination skin and her T-zone is very oily. Also, she has big pores (not as big as mine!) so she definitely needs something that control the oils from her face and soothes her pores. These are the primers we tried on her skin:

NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer #684 ($3.99): As you can see in both pictures, this is an illuminating primer best suitable on dry to normal skin. It's got mineral oil and feels very lightweight and moisturizing. Skin feels definitely softer but it can get a bit greasy. It doesn't help soothing pores or controlling oils therefore I would not recommend it to people with combination or oily skin. It's not mine so I won't repurchase.

Lumene Matifying and Retexturizing Primer for Oily/Combination Skin ($17.96): My first and all time favorite primer that unfortunately is only sold in Northern Europe I think (Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway). It has a thick gel consistency, a bit thicker than The Porefessional. As it says in the tub, it's best suitable on combination to oily skin and it has done wonders on my skin, it soothes pores and makes foundation last a long long time without feeling heavy. I will repurchase it as soon as I can.

Benefit The Porefessional ($30.00): I had mixed feelings about this primer for a while. It's a great primer for all skin types and it's amazing how it works on the pores, it soothes the pores beautifully creating an even canvas. It helps the foundation stay but it's not enough for my oily skin, I need something stronger like Lumene. However I'll keep repurchasing it cause its a great primer.

MUA Matte Perfect Primer ($6.00): I am not really impressed about this product, it has the same consistency as The Porefessional but it not as good as it. It does sooth pores a bit and it helps controlling oils but it feels a bit greasy as well. I only use this primer If I have to be out less than 6 hours cause otherwise my foundation will start to melt. I won't be repurchasing it.

Mi hermana tiene piel combinada y su zona T es muy oleosa, también tiene poros grandes por lo que necesita algo que suavice esa área, estos son los primer que probamos en su piel:

NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer #684 ($3.99): Como ven en las fotos, este es un primer iluminador que luce mejor en pieles secas y normales. Tiene mineral y se siente hidratante y liviano. La piel se siente suave y algo grasosa. No lo recomiendo en pieles oleosas y por eso no lo compraría de nuevo (aunque no es mío!)

Lumene Matifying and Retexturizing Primer for Oily/Combination Skin ($17.96): Mi primer primer y mi favorito. Lamentablemente creo que solo se consigue en los países escandinavos. Tiene un aspecto siliconado y pesado y es mi favorito ya que crea una textura suave en la piel minimizando los poros y matifica la piel excelentemente. Mi base dura muchísimo con este primer. Lo volvería a comprar.

Benefit The Porefessional ($30.00):  Al principio no me gustaba mucho este primer, es genial minimizando la apariencia de los poros, el mejor. Lo que no me gusta tanto es que no es tan bueno controlando la oleosidad como Lumene. Como sea, es un muy bien primer para todos los tipos de piel y lo volveré a comprar.

MUA Matte Perfect Primer ($6.00): Este producto no me impresionó tanto ya que probé mejores. Es muy parecido al de Benefit pero claramente mucho más económico. Minimiza los poros pero me deja un aspecto grasoso en las manos aunque supuestamente es matificante. No dura mucho en la piel por eso lo uso cuando solamente tengo que ir a trabajar. I'm loving it: Illamasqua Excite Blush Review

Hi beauties! Today I'll be reviewing this gorgeous blush I got on Sephora a couple of months ago.
I wasn't really looking for a matte blush, I was planning to get some Tarte peach blush but Tipsy was a bit too pink for me and when I saw this gem I couldn't stop staring at it...

Illamasqua Excite is an extremely pigmented blush, probably the most pigmented I've tried so: watch out! If you get too much on your brush you will look like a clown for sure!
Excite is a vibrant coral shade with a gorgeous matte finish. I use a Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply it on my cheeks. To avoid applying too much product, I tap the excess on my hand.

I think this Excite is a winner shade for summer time and it looks so beautiful if you are pale and have a tan or if your skin tone is naturally warm as mine. Try it out!

Hola bellezas! Hoy quiero hacer la review de este rubor hermoso que compré en Sephora hace unos meses.
La verdad que no estaba buscando un rubor matte, de hecho quería comprar uno coral de la marca Tarte pero Tipsy me pareció muy rosita y cuando ví este de Illamasqua no pude dejar de mirarlo...

Illamasqua Excite es un rubor extremadamente pigmentado, el más pigmentado que tengo así que a tener cuidado! Lo más probable es que vayas a quedar como un payaso...
Excite es un coral vibrante con un acabado matte. Uso la brocha de rubor de Real Techniques para aplicarlo en mis mejillas y saco el exceso de producto en mi mano para evitar ponerme demasiado.

Excite es definitivamente el color perfecto para usar en verano, queda muy bien con las pieles bronceadas y si tenés la piel no tan clara con tonos cálidos queda divino!

Let the sun come in | L'oreal Glam Bronze Trio Eclat Soleil

Today I wanted to review this bronzer I got before summer started here in South America, the L'oreal Paris Glam Bronze Trio Eclat Soleil for brunettes, a 3 in 1 product that works as a blush, highlighter and bronzer at the same time.

This trio is very shimmery and quite suitable for summer as it is perfect for adding color + glown to the skin and really handy for summertrips! It comes with a big mirror and with a not so soft little brush.

Hoy quería hacer la review de este bronzer que compré antes de que empezara el verano, L'oreal Glam Bronze Trio Eclat Soleil en el tono brunettes, un producto 3 en 1 que funciona como rubor, iluminador y bronzer.

Este trío es super brilloso y muy conveniente para verano ya que es perfecto para dar más color y brillo a la piel... y la verdad que es muy cómodo para la cartera porque viene con un espejo grande y una brochita no tan suave.

Make up and Skincare Wishlist 2013

Since all of us are beauty junkies and we are probably thinking about getting more products every day, I believe it's good to make a list of those things we REALLY want instead of buy anything we see. 

I love trying new make up but if I'm going to buy high-end products, I prefer to read some reviews first.. otherwise my pocket will cry several days!

I thought it was about time to make a Beauty Wishlist for 2013 of those products I deeply wish to have. I even encourage all of you to do one so we all can share what we have on mind :)

I'm travelling to the US for the first time next week and I'll be probably purchasing these things. Please let me know if you own them! 

Ya que a todas nos gusta el make-up y probablemente estemos pensando en ello gran parte del día pense en hacer una wishlist para enfocarme bien en los productos que realmente quiero en vez de comprar cosas a lo loco. De hecho las tagueo a todas para que hagan este post así vemos cuales son los productos que tenemos todas en mente! 
En una semana me estoy yendo a USA y espero poder comprarme varias de estas cosas ya que como todas sabrán, allá está todo mas barato!
Si ya tienen alguno de estos productos, cuentenme como les sirvieron :)

Nars velvet matte lip pencil in cruella ($25) looks like the kind of lipstick that makes your teeth look really white and can make any outfit look sofisticated. I'd love this product for special ocations.

I'm always looking for good primers for oily skin, I don't really care about hiding my pores that much but I saw that Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Foundation Primer ($33) is an excellent option and so far I've seen only good reviews about it. I was also looking for an alternative to my Mac Blot Powder and I found that Shiseido Translucent Pressed Powder ($32) is a great powder that doesn't leave any color in the skin.

Who doesn't want this Mac Pro Conceal and Correct Palette ($40)? Seriously, it's crazy!

I was also looking for good eyeshadow bases until I saw the review Coco did on her blog about this Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeshadow stick in blackmail ($4.49) and I was stunned! Rimmel keeps getting better all the time.

Who doesn't want the new Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Pallete ($27)? I'm a very neutral girl and I'd love to own this palette soon as I don't have any UD products yet. Same goes for Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in tipsy ($26), such a pretty coral!

I've heard about Perricone MD a while ago as it is a very expensive brand that makes only awesome products, I believe this kit Intensive Pore Minimizer and Intensive Pore ($98) treatment could suit me well though is quite pricey. Same applies to Murad Oil-Control Mattifier spf 15 ($40), not the cheapest brand ever but I've heard it works and I really need some moisture.

One thing I'm excited to try is Neutrogena Microdermoabrasion System ($20), is for all those who does not dare to buy a Clarisonic cause we affraid to spend $150 for something we don't know if it works! Gladly I've seen reviews of this product in youtube and all were positive! Bargain alert?

I'm exciting about trying Origins, well I'm excited about trying all these products as they are not sold in Argentina! I've seen they have good anti-blemish products so I want to try the Super Spot Acne Treatment Gel ($14.50)  and Zero Oil Moisture Lotion (26.50).

Last but not least are these two products Freeman Feeling Beautiful Mint & Lemon Facial Clay Mask ($3.99) which I read that it's good at soothing skin and controling oils and Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum ($9.95), this product was raved pretty much everywhere and when I was in Sweden I didn't even pay attention to this shop so now I'll put an eye on it :)

FOTD | L'oreal Paris Accord Parfait Blush #Rose Bonne Mine

 Hi there! Today I'm going to do a quick review about this blush and a little FOTD (Face of the day).
As many of you, I'm crazy about blushes and even though they all look similar I can't stop trying new ones and getting new ones... I don't really care if they are cheap or expensive. I wish I had them all!
I got this pretty blush two weeks ago and since then I can't stop wearing it. I managed to take a decent picture of it (second pic) so you guys could see how it exactly looks like: A bright pinky coral with shimmer.

Hey! Hoy quería hacer un review rápido de este rubor y un pequeño FOTD (Rostro del día).
Como muchas de ustedes, estoy loca por los rubores y aunque todos luzcan similares no puedo parar de probar nuevas marcas, colores, etc. Realmente no me importa si son caros o baratos, quisiera tener todos!
Recibí este rubor hace dos semanas y desde ese entonces no paro de usarlo. Logré sacar una foto que le hace justicia (segunda foto) así pueden ver como exactamente es: Un rosa coral brillante.

 Even though I love blushes I do not wear too much of them, I don't want it to be noticeable, just like if it was my natural cheek color but better. So when I saw this blush for the first time I thought it may be too bright/shimmery on my face, I have blemishes and I don't want them to stand out.
The truth is that it is very pigmented and shimmery so I use a tiny tiny amount of it to add some color onto my cheeks and I use a bit more on my cheekbones to add some shimmer. Therefore if I wear this blush I don't need a highlighter.

Aunque ame los rubores no uso mucho producto, no quiero que se note... quiero que parezca que es el color de mis mejillas pero mejor. Así que cuando vi este rubor por primera vez pensé que sería demasiado brilloso para mi piel, tengo granitos y manchas y no las quiero resaltar.
La verdad es que es un rubor con mucha pigmentación y shimmer así que uso muy poquito en las mejillas y en los pómulos uso otro poquito más para darle más volumen. Por lo tanto si uso este rubor, no uso iluminador.

 Overall I really like this blush, it's a product that I'm happy to see and wear, feels like it makes me look more alive! The packaging is beautiful and practical, it contains a little mirror behind the blush and a little brush which is surprisingly softer than the brush that comes inside my Chanel blush (!!!). I like that you can get a very decent good looking product for a very decent price, isn't that what we all like?

Realmente me gustó este rubor, es un producto que me pone feliz ver y usar, cuando lo uso parezco más viva y menos ojerosa! El packaging es una de las cosas que me encanta, lindo y prático. Contiene un espejito detrás del rubor y una mini brocha que sorprendentemente es mucho mas suave que la de mi rubor Chanel (!!!). Me gusta que se puedan comprar productos lindos y decentes por un precio también muy decente, eso no es lo que queremos todos?

Ya conocían este rubor? Yo antes de tenerlo la verdad que no!

Best of 2012 | TAG

Tomorrow is the last day of 2012 and while I think of the amazing things that happened this year, I cannot avoid thinking of my beauty products. For most people that may sound a bit superficial but I know that you, my beauty blogger fellas will understand it.

This year I finally got rid of my acne after suffering it for 5 years, that couldn't have happened without being extra careful with the products I buy.

For that reason I think this year has been quite an eye-opener, many amazing products have been released that worth the hype and others that don't. Many were released years ago and I got them this year.

As you will see, I don't have a favorite of each category, just a bunch of products I found this year that I can't live without.

Having said enough, these are my 2012 favorites.

Mañana es el último día de este maravilloso 2012 y mientras pienso en las cosas geniales que pasaron este año no puedo evitar pensar en mis beauty products. Para la mayoría de las personas esto puede sonar muy superficial pero para ustedes, mis amigas bloggeras, puede que no sea asi.

Finalmente este año me deshice de mi acné que me acompaño unos 5 largos años. Esto no pudo haber pasado si no hubiese sido extra meticulosa a la hora de comprar productos de belleza.

Por esa razón creo que este año me abrió bastante los ojos, muchos productos wow salieron este año, muchos realmente son lo que dicen ser y muchos otros no.

No puedo dejar pasar el tema de las beauty boxes y la decepción que me llevo de absolutamente todas. Estoy segura de que ellos entendieron que es lo que queríamos, probar cosas nuevas, tener acceso a productos que desde Argentina se nos complica conseguir, sean en mini tallas o muestras gratis, la idea de una beauty box es una vez al mes sentirse mimada. El mensaje no era dificil de entender. Creo que no les importó en lo más absoluto, es más facil sacarle el dinero a personas honestas y en compensación, dar alcohol en gel vencido, total? La plata ya la gastaste.

En fin chicas, estos fueron mis favoritos de 2012.

November Favorites!

Being today the first day of December I thought it would be fun to show you girls my favorite products of last month. I haven't done this kind of posts before since my make-up and skincare routine has been pretty much boring during fall/winter. Now that summer is almost here I have tried many products and changed my beauty routine quite a lot trying to keep my skin balanced and my makeup looking fresh :)

Siendo hoy el primer dia de diciembre pensé que estaría bueno mostrarle los productos que más estuve disfrutando el mes pasado, algunos ya vistos y otros no (reviews coming soon!).
Nunca hice este tipo de posts (favoritos del mes) ya que durante los últimos meses estuve usando los mismos productos dado el clima frío que tuvimos y recién ahora siento que necesito ayuda extra contra el calor y la oleosidad que se me viene encima! También, al cambiar estación me siento de ánimos de probar otros colores, así que estos son mis favoritos de este mes :)

YSL Teint Resist SPF 10 Foundation: Review here. A great foundation for oily skin with a gorgeous semi matte finish. Great for summer. Bit pricey.
Idea para pieles oleosas, terminación semi-mate. Ideal para el verano pero cara. Review aqui.
Revlon Lip Butter #Tutti Frutti: Worth the hype. Keeps my lips moisturized and looking pretty whole day. Will do review soon.
Todo lo que se dijo es verdad, son geniales! Mantienen mis labios hidratados y lindos todo el día. Review en unos días!
Lumene Matifying and Retexturizing Primer: Review here. My all time favorite primer. Haven't worn it during winter but now I started using it again now that the weather is warm and humid, only in my T-Zone and works perfectly every single time.
Mi primer preferido, no lo usé durante el invierno pero ahora que el clima está caluroso lo uso solo en mi zona T. Es perfecto! Review aquí.

Clean & Clear Advantage Gel Invisible de Acción Rápida: It's a gel that dries out pimples very quickly. I'm using this every night (if I have or if I'm getting pimples) and it works pretty good. Contains salicylic acid.
Gel para secar granitos, contiene ácido salicílico. Me está funcionando muy bien, lo aplico a la noche si tengo algún granito y al día siguiente está seco.

Lancome La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum: Delicious! Such a sweet and femenine fragance. I love it.

Desde que lo ví lo quería y cuando llegué de mi viaje mi mamá lo había comprado. Es delicioso! Una fragancia dulce y muy femenina, me encanta.

Kiehl's Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion: What a great toner for oily skin! it's helping me a lot but I don't want to tell too much cause I'll do a review soon!

BKD Luxury & Co Caviar Liss & Shine Hair Mask: Review here. I love this stuff so much, I was thinking about going to the salon to do some straightening treatment because I get a lot of frizz during summer time but since I tried this product I changed my mind, I'm using it once a week and getting great results.

Me encanta esto! Pensaba hacerme un shock de keratina o algo para controlar el frizz hasta que probé esta máscara y ahorré mucho dinero. La estoy usando una vez a la semana y funciona genial.

Chanel Blush Duo #Tweed Effect #50 Tweed Siena: I got this blush when fall started (april) and even thought it's gorgeous I didn't wear that much since I prefer matte ones for fall/winter. I'm not saying this blush makes your face shine a lot but it does have some lovely gold shimmer that looks great on spring/summer.

Me regalaron este rubor en abril y no lo usé mucho ya que prefiero los matte durante otoño/invierno. No digo que este rubor te deje brillando como bola de boliche pero tiene unos brillos dorados que me parecen ideales para usar en verano.

YSL Teint Resist Foundation Review

While looking for a new high street foundation at the freeshop, a lady who worked there told me they were having a 50% off discount on a few YSL foundations... of course I had to check!
I told her my skin is very oily and that I needed a medium-high coverage thinking that would be hard to find. Somehow I always thought that high end foundations are not made for bad skin like mine. Stupid me!
She introduced me this luxury thing named YSL Teint Resist Foundation:

"An oil-free foundation that guarantees unfailing wear and radiance for up to 14 hours, ideal for normal to oily and combination skin types, and for people who prefer a long-lasting foundation. This luminous, transfer-resistant formula goes smoothly onto the skin for a soft and seamless glow. "

This foundation provides a great coverage, I wasn't sure that it would cover my blemishes and acne sars but it did, leaving a fantastic healthy glow on my face.

Mientras buscaba una base a buen precio en el freeshop, una chica de las que atiende ahí me vio revolviendo el stand de L'oreal y me vino a ayudar. Me contó que había un 50% de descuento en algunos tonos de las bases de la marca Yves Saint Laurent y obviamente fui por ellas!

Le dije que mi piel es muy oleosa y que necesito algo con cobertura media-alta pensando en que las marcas de tan alta categoría no hacían productos para personas con pieles como la mía. Stupid me!

Me mostro esta lujosa base llamada YSL Teint Resist Foundation, una base de larga duración (hasta 14 horas), SPF 10 y oil-free, ideal para pieles oleosas y combinadas. 

Esta base tiene una muy buena cobertura, no estaba segura de que fuera a cubrir mis granitos y manchas pero lo hizo, dejando ese efecto luminoso saludable que me encanta.

It comes in many shades, so the shade 3,4 and 5 suit my skin really good but only the shade 4 and 5 had that 50% off, so I picked the shade number 5 since I was going on a trip and I knew I'd get a little tan. The original price at the freeshop was $50, I got it for $25! It's currently available at feelunique.com for a bit more than $54... pricey! 

I woulnd't say it's the best foundation for extremely troubled skin but it does a good job if you have a few blemishes. Personally, I'm saying goodbye to my acne but I still do get pimples often so I tend to use this product when my skin looks good and I want some glow. You may think that oily skin and a glowy foundation are not the best deal but this product controls oiliness perfectly so just powdering your T-zone a bit you will get wonderful results :)

Viene en muchos tonos así que el tono 3, 4 y 5 iban bastante bien con mi piel pero sólo los tonos 4 y 5 tenían el descuento así que elegí el 5 ya que me iba de vacaciones e imaginaba broncearme un poco. El precio original en el freeshop de Ezeiza es de $50 dólares, la compré por $25! :D En Falabella está a $340 pesos argentinos y en Feelunique.com algo más de $54 dolaritos.. 

Pienso que NO es la mejor base para pieles problemáticas pero hace un muy buen trabajo en pieles con algunos granitos y marcas. Yo estoy terminando mi tratamiento contra el acné pero de vez en cuando tengo algún granito y todavía tengo manchas así que como verán esta base tapa todo dejando un brillo saludable divino. Quizás piensen que no es la mejor idea mezclar pieles oleosas con una base luminosa, pero esta base controla muy bien los brillos y aplicando un poco de polvo compacto en la zona T se obtienen excelentes resultados :)

Korres Wild Rose Concealer vs. Mac Studio Finish Concealer

I am not a person who has real bad dark circles. However, when I bought my Mac Studio Finish concealer last April, I ended up getting a shade NW25... I guess I had a bad eye area day because now it looks a little bit too orange on me. Luckily it's the perfect shade to cover my blemishes and any other thing I can get in my face. But I still needed something a bit lighter...

A friend made me try the same concealer on the shade NW20, one shade lighter, and I instantly fell in love with it, but I didn't want to spend that much money when I still had half of my NW25, so I looked for something cheaper but equally good.

After reading so many great reviews about Korres cosmetics I needed to try some so, while searching for a creamy brightening concealer I found Korres Wild Rose Concealer #WRC2 in a really good price on Strawberrynet.com.

No soy una persona que tenga terribles ojeras, sin embargo allá por abril cuando compré mi Mac Studio Finish concealer, terminé llevandome uno en el tono NW25... Supongo que habré tenido los ojos a la miseria porque hoy en día este tono se ve medio naranjoso y oscuro en mi piel. Afortunadamente es el tono perfecto para cubrir imperfecciones en mi cara... Pero necesitaba algo más claro.

Una amiga me hizo probar el mismo corrector en NW20, un tono más claro y automáticamente me enamoré pero no quería gastar esa plata de nuevo cuando me quedaba mitad del potecito de mi NW25 (son largavida) así que busqué algo más barato pero de calidad parecida.

Después de leer tanta cosa sobre Korres pensé en probar algún cosmético y mientras buscaba un corrector cremoso illuminador encontré el corrector de Korres Wild Rose Concealer en #WRC2 en un buen precio en Strawberrynet.com (78 pesos) y lo compré.

Overall it's a good concealer, quite brightening, easy to apply and easy to blend. Honestly I had huge expectations for this product but it did disappoint me... Being used to wear a Mac studio finish concealer I supposed it would last a long time too but it didn't, it only lasted 2 months! I'm sure that if it would last longer I would repurchase this product but even if Mac SFC is more expensive it's totally worth the price, you get a concealer that last more than one year.

Es un buen corrector, ilumina muy bien y es facil de aplicar y difuminar. Honestamente tenía grandes expectativas de este producto pero me desilucionó... Acostumbrada a usar el Studio Finish de Mac, suponía que el corrector de Korres iba a durar un buen tiempo pero no, de hecho duró solamente 2 meses! El corrector de Mac vale cada centavo aún costando más, te llevás un producto que dura un año o más.

Mac Studio Finish Concealers #NW20 & #NW25

Finally, a couple of weeks ago I was in the freeshop and without knowing that my Korres concealer was about to die soon, I bought a Mac Studio finish concealer in the perfect shade, NW20 and paid only 6 USD more than the Korres one.

Finalmente, unas semanas atrás estaba en el freeshop y sin saber que mi corrector de Korres se iba a terminar tan rápido compré un Mac studio finish concealer en el tono perfecto, NW20 y pagué solamente 30 pesos más que lo pagué por el de Korres. 

(Yes, my eyelashes suck / Sí, mis pestañas apestan)

Sorry Korres but this time I'll stick with Mac! / Perdón Korres pero esta vez me quedo con Mac!
