Weekend on sale

Hola! Hace como 10 días que no escribía, extrañaba mucho el blog y mi ausencia no es por vacaciones si no porque trabajo todo el día y odio sacar fotos de noche así que tengo que esperar hasta el finde para tomar algunas fotos.
Estos dos últimos findes estuve saliendo por la ciudad, comiendo cosas dulces con amigas y encontrando algunas ofertas muy copadas! No soy de las personas que se dejan llevar por las liquidaciones de temporada pero esta vez no pude evitarlo. Necesitaba un par de botas 'sanas' para el invierno sueco ya que quizás vuelvo a Suecia el año que viene y como allá hace frío casi todo el año seguramente voy a estar usando botas y las que me compré para nuestro invierno ya se encuentran destrozadas.
Ya tenía este par de botitas de gamuza de Clona en vista pero como me habia comprado otras de cuero de la misma marca, no les dí mucha atención. Ni bien vi que bajaron a $199 ARS no lo dudé y saqué el cash! Al tener algo de plataforma son muy comodas para caminar, aparte no tienen cierre, es como ponerse una pantufla linda gigante jaja y el punto a favor? Me vino con tres muestras gratis de Shampoo + Acondicionador de Tres Emme!
El otro par de chatitas/mocasines/loafers (no sé bien que son) me lo compre en Lucerna, hacían 2x1 el sábado y únicamente se pagaba el par mas caro que fue el de mi madre que se compro unos tacos de 15 cms masomenos, una loca! También todo a buen precio pero sin muestras gratis jaja.
Finalmente pasé por el Alto Palermo decidida a comprarme un lipstick de MAC y primero me encontré con el stand de Maybelline y L'oreal y con tanto color me resultó imposible no comprar un esmalte de Maybelline. Amo la calidad y pigmentación de esta línea y también el precio... $11 ARS por algo que sé que lo voy a usar durante mucho tiempo vale la pena. Vale además aclarar que en ese stand del Alto Palermo se consiguen mucho más colores de esa marca que en Pigmento o Farmacity, así que a tener en cuenta :)

Hi! It's been a while since I last wrote, I've been working too much and I really don't like taking pictures in the night so I had to wait until the weekend to take them.
These last two weekends I've been going out with friends, had some delicious food and did some shopping. Winter is almost over here and all stores are on sale, and even thought I don't usually shop on sale season (I never find anything I like) I thought I could take a look and see if there was something interesting.
Found this leather platform boots at a very reasonable price (u$s 42) and even though winter here is almost over I thought I could really use them in Sweden since it's cold almost all year there and my current winter boots are kind of destroyed. Plus, it came with 3 free samples of Tres Emme Shampoo + Conditioner. Woho!
I also found these loafers with some details in gold and they are so comfy! too bad they didn't come with any free samples though, lol.
After that I went to a MAC store to buy a lipstick buy there was this Maybelline/L'oreal stand in the mall so I stopped and looked for a nail polish, Maybelline Colorama are so cheap I couldn't resist buying one, they are like u$s 2 each.

Muchas dirán: woww! Es un color un poco llamativo... Sí  jaja lo es, pero ya hace tiempo estaba buscando un tono de lapiz labial entre lila y rosa claro. Para ser más exacta estaba buscando el tono de lipstick que usa Sofía de Graduados (click en el nombre para ver la foto) que me encanta! obviamente ella usa mucho menos y yo le dí unas dos pasadas para que quede super pigmentado. Mi novio dice que es un poco demasiado para usarlo todos los días pero yo pienso que no, no me identifico usando un color rojo pero estos colores pasteles si.. no sé si todos los días y tan pigmentado pero lo uso frecuentemente.
Este MAC lipstick - Snob costó $155 ars y estoy super conforme, la pigmentación es excelente, tomás 80 vasos y el labial sigue intacto, no es cruel con los labios secos, de hecho lo encuentro muy hidratante así que seguramente siga comprando más de esta marca.
Cuál es su color de lápiz labial preferido? Muchas gracias por leer <3

I know it looks like a 'HELLO I'M HERE'-lipstick but I'm actually loving it :) I've been looking for a light purple-light pink shade for a while and this is the one. My boyfriend says it's a bit too much for an everyday use but for me is okay. I applied two layers of lipstick so the color looks very pigmented and vibrant but with one it's just okay and it is still very creamy and moisturizing. I'm in love with this shade, love how it works on both pale and tan skin and the price is not bad :)

Swedish Beauty

Durante el año pasado y un poquito de este año también estuve viviendo en Suecia con mi novio, como ya había mencionado en algún post anterior (o eso creo).
Desde que tengo uso de razón siempre me quise ir a vivir a Europa y los países Escandinavos siempre me interesaron más que los demás. El orden, la organización, las casitas perfectas nevadas, galletitas de jengibre, Pippi Longstocking y ahh todo eso que acá no puedo tener.
Se ve que Suecia estaba en mi destino porque terminé conociendo a un chico sueco hace mucho tiempo y el año pasado nos pusimos de novios. El vino para acá y ni bien se fue yo ya estaba armando mi valijita
El plan era quedarme 3 meses pero por esas razones de la vida me quedé 5 así que pude disfrutar tanto verano como invierno aunque el invierno no lo disfruté.
Vivíamos en una ciudad pequeña pero aún así tenía de todo, sólo que de vez en cuando había que pegarse un viajecito a Estocolmo para avastecer necesidades de make up, productos para el pelo y ropa también por supuesto!
En esas salidas a Estocolmo o a alguna otra ciudad grande empecé a conocer marcas que no tenía la menor idea que existían. Mi cuñada es fanática de comprarse todo lo nuevo en cosmética  y me llevo por mal buen camino.
A continuación les muestro mis tres tiendas favoritas Suecas que hasta ese entonces desconocía pero que por Europa son bastante conocidas y muy buenas, para que lo tengan en cuenta si están por viajar por alguno de esos pagos o compran cosas online :)

During last year and a little bit of this year I lived in Sweden with my boyfriend, like I previously mentioned in some other post (I think).

As far as I remember, I always wanted to live in Europe and I've always been interested in Scandinavian culture. Organization, perfect houses covered in snow, Gingerbread cookies, Pippi Longstocking, ahhh I do love all that.

Looks like Sweden was in my destiny cause cause I ended up meeting a Swedish boy and falling in love :)

He came here and when he left I had to follow him! It took me some weeks to do my bags and go visit Sweden thinking I would stay there for 3 months when they turned out being 5.

We lived in a small town and it was quite hard to adapt myself to that, I'm used to live in a big city and I don't like to be bored but there was some things to do. Even if the city was small, there still was lots of shops, but from time to time I had to go to Stockholm to fill my make up and fashion needs!

While I was in Stockholm I got to know many brands I never knew they existed. My sister-in-law is a beauty junkie and she guided me to everything.

On the following pictures I will show you girls my top 3 Swedish stores. If you guys are from Europe you might know about them and if you don't you should check them out sometime;)

KICKS

Kicks es una tienda que vende maquillaje, perfumes, cremas, productos para el pelo y otras cosas femeninas de todas las marcas, tipo Sephora . Tanto marcas "económicas" como Maybelline, Isadora, L'oreal y Max Factor como marcas high-end tipo YSL, Guerlain, La Praire, etc. Es un paraíso y lo mejor es que está en casi todas las ciudades, no solo en la capital.
Kicks también hace sus propios cosméticos como Sprays, brochas, esmaltes, etc.
La última foto es un haul de Kicks, Topshop y H&M que hice en época navideña. Los esmaltes de Kicks, H&M e Isadora, delineador y cleansing wipes de Topshop y un spray de Lee Stafford que voy a hablar en otro post.

 Kicks is like Sephora. They sell all kinds of makeup brands, hair products and girly stuff. They go from L'oreal, Max Factor and Maybelline till YSL, Guerlain and La Praire. It's pretty much a paradise for all the beauty junkies (like all swedish girls) and a good thing is that it is in almost all cities, not only Stockholm.

They have their own line, I doubt if they sell make up, but I've seen some sprays and nail polishes and I really loved them.

On the last picture you can see my little haul I got from Kicks (nail polishes and Lee Stafford spray), Topshop and H&M.

MAKE UP STORE

Make up Store es una marca que tiene varios locales por el mundo, principalmente en países Escandinavos, America del Norte, Centroamérica y Asia. En mi opinión se parece mucho a MAC en cuanto a la onda de la marca, los cosméticos son de muy buena calidad y los precios son caros sin llegar al nivel de YSL o Chanel.
En la última foto está mi cuñada Maja comprando un corrector de ojeras triple que pueden ver en la segunda foto. Según ella 'hace maravillas' y a mi me recuerda mucho al corrector duo de Bobbi Brown :)

Make Up Store is a brand that has many stores all over the world, mainly in Scandinavia, Central America and Asia. I've also seen that there is one shop in the US, one in Canada and one in the UK.

It reminds me of MAC Cosmetics, it's kinda the same style but in my opinion it looks a bit fancier. The cosmetics have a good quality and they are not cheap but not expensive as YSL or Tom Ford. 

In the last picture you can see my sister-in-law Maja buying a concealer with three different colors (you can see in pic 2). She says it's fantastic.

ÅHLENS

Åhléns es mi tienda favorita de todo el universo! Para las argentinas les cuento que es lo más parecido a un Falabella pero mucho más grande, una tienda departamental que está por toda Suecia y vende de todo. Tienen su propía línea de indumentaria y de cosmética, venden desde Maybelline hasta Chanel, DKNY, GUESS, etc.. Hasta tiene un supermercado y un restaurant! En la última foto me estaba comiendo terrible factura jajaj, era la primera vez que iba y estaba enloquecida.

Ideal para ir con poca o mucha plata y hacerla volar! Poco recomendado para ir con novio!

 Åhléns is my favorite store. It's the largest department store in Sweden and it's around all the country. They have their own fashion and cosmetic line. You can find drugstore brands like Maybelline and also high-end brands like Chanel. They sell absolutely everything, they even have a supermarket and a restaurant! On the last picture I'm eating a donut haha, I was so excited I wanted to try everything.

It's the perfect place if you have some money to spend and it's the worst place to go with a boyfriend!

Espero que les hayan gustado las fotos! Si bien no me convence totalmente la idea de contar cosas personales o mostrar fotos de mi cara en todas las fotos (me da verguenza), me resulta imposible hablar de cosméticos y belleza y no mostrarles los momentos de mi vida que me llevaron a hacer este blog. Realmente espero no aburrirlas!

How to: Pink Zebra Nails

 Me cansé de pintarme las uñas siempre de la misma manera y de fallar cada vez que intento hacer algo de nail art así que el domingo probé algo diferente: Uñas tipo zebra en color rosa.
Soy muy desprolija en el momento de pintarme las uñas pero sin embargo este nail art no necesita de suma prolijidad, van a ver que es muy fácil y este color queda divino para el verano. Sigan los pasos!

I'm tired of always doing my nails the same way and failing everytime I wanna try some nail art, so last Sunday I tried something different: Pink zebra nails.

I'm quite messy when doing my nails but this nail art is pretty easy to do and depending the color you use it will look amazing for summer or winter. Spring is coming soon here so I thought this color would look great. Follow the following steps!

 Necesitas una base niveladora, un esmalte de color, un esmalte de decoración de uñas (los que tienen pincel super finito y los venden en la mayoría de locales de cosmética. Si no tenes, con un pincel finito es suficiente), un top coat matte (opaco) y en el caso que no tengas un top coat matte podes usar un esmalte con acabado matte que sea del mismo color que el esmalte de pincel finito.

You need a base coat, a nail polish, a thin nail art brush or another nail polish that is the same color as the first one (or quite similar) that has a very thin brush and a matte top coat.

Aplicá la base niveladora y dejá secar. Luego dale una o dos capas de tu esmalte. Dejar secar.

Apply your base coat and let it dry. Add one or two layers of your nail polish. Let it dry again.

Cuando se hayan secado tus uñas, aplicá una capa del top coat matte y esperá unos segundos para que tus uñas se pongan opacas y sequen. Podés evitar este paso directamente pintando tus uñas con un esmalte de color de acabado matte.

Once they are dry apply one coat of of your matte finisher nail polish, let it dry.

Con tu esmalte de decoración de uñas pintá algunas lineas partiendo de los costados de las uñas hacia el centro. Si no tenés esmalte de decoración podés simplemente usar un pincel finito y usar el mismo esmalte que usaste en el paso 2.

Take your nail art nail polish and draw some lines starting from the sides of your nails towards the center of it. If you don't have a nail polish like this you can simple take a thin brush and use the same nail polish you used in the step 2.

 Como mi hermana  mayor se sacó un 10 en su último parcial de la facu pensé en hacerle un regalito. Obviamente pensé en maquillaje porque no tengo la menor idea que otra querría y entre las cosas que me dijo que necesitaba estaba un polvo compacto. 

Las dos tenemos piel oleosa, ella sin acné pero creo que aún más oleosa que la mía y qué podía ser mejor que este Powder? 

Ví muy buenos reviews en Youtube de chicas con piel grasa que lo eligen para el verano por sus grandes poderes absorbentes y bueno fuimos a MAC y mientras yo enloquecía (como siempre) probando labiales y sombras a ella le probaban diferentes tonos. Al final se lo compré y ni gracias me dijo!!! Está a $245 pesos.

Viene en 5 tonos y se adapta a todas las tonalidades de piel sin dejar la piel grisácea como los algunos polvos translúcidos. Un punto a favor es que es muchísimo más fino que la mayoría de los polvos compactos, de hecho tiene la textura de un polvo volátil, mucho más sedoso con la ventaja de que al ser compacto a uno no le queda la cara llenísima de polvo y toda la ropa blanca...

Contiene Mica y Sílice para absover el exceso de grasa y reducir el brillo de la piel. Según mi hermana, la dueña: 'Es el mejor polvo compacto que tuve, dura muchísimo más que otros, es muy finito y no se nota en la piel y deja la piel matte y perfecta'.

Diganme que conocen este polvo! Ya lo probaron o le tienen ganas? Qué otros polvos compactos/volátiles les gustan?

Since my big sister got the highest grade on her last college exam I thought I could give her a little gift. Of course I thought about make up cause I have no idea what other things she could want. She made a small wishlist and I thought a pressed powder would be the best thing to buy.

We both have oily skin, she does not have acne but her skin is even more oily than mine and what could be better than this powder?

I've seen so many positive reviews on Youtube about this product, girls chosing this powder for summer time due to its blotting power so well, we went to a MAC store and I bought it, she didn't even say thanks!!

It comes in 5 shades and adapts to all skin tones without leaving the skin looking ashy like many translucent powders. One plus is that it's lot thinner than most of pressed powders. Actually it has the texture of loose powders, quite silky with the advantage of being pressed, so you make sure that it doesn't fall on your clothes and that you get the right amount on your face. The owner, my sister says : 'It's the best powder I ever had, it lasts a lot longer than others, it's very thin, you can't notice it in the skin and leaves the skin looking matt and flawless'.

Muchas chicas tienen por hobby coleccionar esmaltes pero como yo soy horrible pintandome las uñas, mi otro hobby después de comprar makeup es coleccionar accesorios. Estas son algunas fotos de lo que anduve comprando en Agosto: Cruces, serpientes, púas, cuero y tachas... I love!

Some girls hobbies are collecting nail polishes but since I suck at doing my nails, my second hobby after buying beauty products is collecting accessories. These are a few pics of what I've been purchasing this month: Crosses, Snakes, Claws, Studded leather & Spikes.. I love!

Y un poco de make up también!

LA GIRL PRO conceal: No lo odio pero me desilucionó mucho, al ver el envase pensé que iba a ser bastante líquido pero no, resultó ser cremoso/espeso (todo lo que no quería que fuese). Yo uso todos los días el corrector Mac Studio Finish Concealer NW25 y es perfecto para que las ojeras tengan el mismo color que la piel, pero no ilumina, solo corrige. Pensé que este concealer de LA GIRL iba a iluminar ciertas partes de mi cara pero no lo hizo, es muy dificil de esparcir, se seca rapidísimo y marca todas TODAS las líneas y/o arrugas. Como verán en la foto parece pegado a mi piel. Aparte de eso me irritó muchisimo toda la zona de los ojos. Definitivamente no lo vuelvo a comprar.
L'oreal Paris True Match Foundation: Mi base preferida y ahora que tiene  nuevo packaging mucho más :) Si tenés piel oleosa y manchas es la base perfecta! Deja un acabado semi-matte y si ves muy muy de cerca unos destellitos dorados, la piel luce muy saludable! No creo que sea la base perfecta para personas que no necesitan mucha cobertura. Es medio pesada. Está a $114 pesos. Ah! No saca granitos.
Elf Studio Blush #Pink Passion: Vi este rubor en uno de esos videos de Youtube llamados '$20 dollar Make up Challenge' y me encantó, de hecho me compre el mismo tono... y e encanta! Es un rosa fuerte pero matte. Pigmenta muy bien sin dejar efecto payasito.

Now the makeup!

LA GIRL PRO conceal: I don't hate it but It was very disappointing. I thought it would be a liquid concealer but it turned out being creamy and heavy (everything I don't want). I use everyday my MAC Studio Finish concealer NW25 and it works perfect as a corrector but it doesn't illuminate my dark circles or other parts of my face. I thought this LA GIRL concealer would do the job but nop.. It's not easy to blend, it dries out very face and it makes fine lines and wrinkles look 10 times worse. As you can see in the picture it looks like stuck on my skin. It also irritated my eyes. Not buying this again.

L'oreal Paris True Match Foundation: It's my favorite foundation and I love the new packaging! I think its a perfect foundation for oily skin with spots. Its got a semi-matte finish but it looks very fresh. I don't think it's the best foundation for perfect skins since it's a bit heavy and could look cakey.

Elf Studio Blush #Pink Passion: Saw this blush on Tanya Burr's youtube video '$20 dollar make up challenge' and I fell for it! It's a beautiful matte pink blush, perfect for summer. Good pigmentation
 without looking like a clown!

Probaron estos productos? Creo que el blush de Elf es bastante conocido!
