Life in Sweden

Hi everybody! I'm back to blogging with a non-beauty related post this time (almost). I've moved to Stockholm, Sweden a few days ago and I wanted to show you with pictures how's life here.

The snow season started just the day I arrived here which made everything even more cozy. I spent the first days at my boyfriend's parents town where all the houses looked so cute and the lakes were frozen. We also visited some friends in Katrineholm and had a lovely snowy day, I got to play with babies and this cute big black dog called Grigg. To be honest, I spent the 99% of the time with Grigg... *crazy dog lady*.

Back to Stockholm I spent the first days trying to make our appartment look a bit more Christmassy. My boyfriend rented a furnished appartment so we really didn't have to add too much to it.

It's very nice to live in Stockholm, two years ago I lived 5 months in Katrineholm, a small town here and there was absolutely nothing to do... When you come from a big city like Buenos Aires it's hard to get used to smaller places with less things to do... Now I'm really glad we can live here and go out as much as we want. We've been definitely loving going out to bars and to the Christmas market which we visited last Saturday. That's for sure the coziest place to go; they sell hot chocolate, warm fluffy socks, sweets and anything that makes you feel even more christmassy. 

Now I'm really looking forward to Christmas. I still wish I could spend Christmas with my family in Argentina but it's time for me to grow up and learn to be far away for them... It's so hard :(

Hola a todas! Vuelvo al mundo blogger con un post poco relacionado con la  belleza. Como ya saben, me mudé a Estocolmo (Suecia) hace unos dias y les quería mostrar como es la vida acá con fotos.

La temporada de nieve empezó justo el día que llegué lo cual hizo todo aún más lindo.

Pasé los primeros días en el pueblo donde viven los papás de mi novio donde las casitas se veían tan tiernas cubiertas de nieve y los lagos congelados.. ahh.

También aprovechamos para visitar a unos viejos amigos en Katrineholm donde pasamos el día comiendo, jugando con bebés y con este perro enorme que ven la foto. Para serles honesta me pasé el día entero jugando con el perro jajaja.

De vuelta en Estocolmo estuve tratando de darle un toque navideño al departamento. Mi novio alquiló este depto que ya vino amoblado así que no hacía falta agregar mucho.

Me encanta vivir en Estocolmo, hace dos años viví 5 meses en una ciudad más chica acá y me costaba mucho acostumbrarme a no hacer nada. Después de vivir en Buenos Aires todo parece aburrido pero ahora que estoy en Estocolmo estamos disfrutando salir, ir a bares y esas cosas que pasan normalmente en una ciudad grande... Como verán en las fotos, me gusta bastante salir de día e ir al mercado navideño del barrio Gamla Stan, donde venden dulces, mermeladas, pantuflas, chocolate caliente.. en fin, todas esas cosas que uno quiere comprar en invierno.

Ahora estoy ansiosa por Navidad, es mi día preferido del año y me encantaría poder pasarlo con mi familia en Argentina aunque no sea posible este año... Es tan difícil estar tan lejos :(

Weekend #4: food, haul and weight loss

I get the feeling that writing "Weekend" posts is the perfect excuse to not bother about  beauty blogging. I love blogging but lately I've been just not in the mood for it.

I kinda just started my new job at a travel insurance company and I really like it! I've also been doing some make up work on my own and working at the theatre which is always fun.

And even if everything is fine and I'm moving to Sweden really soon I'm not 100% happy. It's like I've always dreamt about moving there with my boyfriend but now that I'm so close I'm just very scared of leaving my friends and family. I really wanted to spend Christmas here where it's warm and everybody is laughing and making noise. Not saying Sweden is that boring but it will be really cold and I don't know, Christmas should be spent always at home! However, I'm very excited about going there, just a little upset it's happening so fast.
Have any of you been in this kind of situation before?  

Talking about more exciting things I wanted to mention that I lost more than 10 kilos recently! I've always struggled with it and not so many years ago I found out that I had a disease which was making my weight increase around 10 kgs A YEAR. From that moment I started taking medication and I got it under control but at that stage I my weight was insane and I never really lost any... until now. This is just the start of it, I still need to lose many many kilos but I'm looking and feeling better and that is a beautiful feeling.

This past weekend I had breakfast with two local beauty bloggers Van and Fer and it was so much fun, we talked mainly about nails and eat tons of food as usual. The next day was the Mother's day in Argentina and my family & I celebrated at a restaurant and later at my grandma's house with all my family. The weather was just perfect and we ended up the evening eating pizzas and watching old family videos. 

Ahh, I will miss my family so much...

Tengo la leve impresión de que escribir estos "weekend" posts es la excusa perfecta para  no escribir temas de belleza. Me encanta bloggear pero últimamente cero ganas...

Acabo de empezar mi nuevo trabajo en una empresa de seguros del viajero y me gusta mucho! También sigo maquillando por mi cuenta y los findes en el teatro lo cual es muy divertido y agotador.

Y si bien está todo genial con mi vida y me estoy mudando a Suecia pronto no estoy 100% felíz. Es como que siempre soñé con irme y ahora que estoy tan cerca tengo miedo de dejar a mi familia y amigos. La verdad es que quiero pasar las fiestas acá donde hace calorcito y estamos todos a los gritos y no en Suecia donde hace taaanto frío y están todos callados. No digo que sea aburrido allá pero las fiestas para mí son para pasarlas en familia. De cualquier manera, tengo muchas ganas de irme pero esto me tiene pensando un poco... Alguna vez se sintieron así?

Hablando de otras cosas más animadas quería mencionar que bajé más de 10 kilos! Siempre tuve problemas de exceso de peso y no hace muchos años descubrí que tenía una enfermedad que me hacía aumentar aprox 10 kgs por año. Desde ese momento tomé medicación y mi situación se controló pero nunca bajé de peso realmente, hasta ahora. Todavía tengo un largo viaje pero yo me veo mejor, la gente también lo nota y eso es un sentimiento hermoso. 

Este último finde desayuné con dos bloggers locales Van y Fer y nos divertimos bastante, comimos como cerdas y hablamos mayormente de uñas como debe ser.
El día siguiente fue el día de la madre y salí con mi famila a comer afuera y luego todos lo de mi abuela a terminar el día comiendo pizza y viendo videos familiares de los 90's

Ahh, Como voy a extrañar a mi familia! :(

Weekend #1

When you live in a city where most part of the year is above 23°C you really try to enjoy the colder months. I love autumn and winter, I love feeling cozy and wearing warm clothes as I know that.. it won't last too long.
Anyways, this past weekend has not been cold at all but nice enough to wear some leather jacket so me and my best friend Vane decided to go to a huge designer's fair that you get to see one time a year here in Buenos Aires.
Feria Puro Diseño is a huge event where all designers and many famous brands such as Fiat, OPI, etc wanna be. It gathers designers from the entire country and you can find anything there: clothes, deco stuff, bags, make up, paintings and even some local bands playing there. This is the first year I went there and I didn't know how it would be like so I didn't have too much money with me, gladly I only bought what I was 'needing', some mint and chocolate tea.
This cute little green box contains a small jar with 50 grames of black tea, mint, cacao skin and white chocolate chips... and it smells like heaven.

The next morning I was very excited to try my new tea and I grabbed one of my huge Disney cups and had a  lovely start of the day, the smell of mint and chocolate together is delicious and puts me in a very happy mood.
I also made myself some time to do my nails. The day was grey and boring so I applied two coats of NYC Quick Dry Nail Polish in 207 Brownstone. I'm loving this shade right now, got this nail polish in CVS and it does not dissapoint.

I've also been quite enjoying the so raved Effaclar Duo by La Roche Posay, I have the European one and it's my skin saviour when I break out. It quickly dries out blemishes without drying out the rest of the skin. I apply a tiny bit on my blemishes and by the next morning my skin is smooth and the blemishes are gone or the size is significantly smaller.

Cuando uno vive en una ciudad donde hace más calor que otra cosa, realmente valora la temporada fría. O seré sólo yo? Amo el otoño y el invierno! Me encanta sentir la calidez de la ropa abrigada.
Este último finde no hizo frío y aprovechamos con Vane de Construcciones de Realidad para ir a la feria Puro Diseño.
Conocen esta feria? Es un gran evento que se hace una vez por año y junta a muchos diseñadores y marcas grandes como Fiat y OPI y podés encontrar lo que sea! De hecho como es la primera vez que voy, no tenía idea de lo que podía llegar a encontrar y fui con nada de plata.. pero me alcanzó justo para comprar lo que quería: 50 gramos de té negro en hebras con menta, cáscara de cacao y chips de chocolate blanco.
El aroma de este blend te derrite, es tan delicioso que no podía esperar y fue lo primero que hice la mañana del Domingo. Aproveché que tenía que trabajar y me hice una taza enorme de té. Delicioso.

También tuve tiempo de pintarme las uñitas y como soy muy básica y tengo muy poca paciencia opté por un color que me encanta; Brownstone de NYC que compré en CVS en Estados Unidos. El esmalte costó menos de $2 USD y no decepciona, usé solo dos capas.

Ultimamente también ando disfrutando de Effaclar Duo de La Roche Posay, es un producto muy conocido en el mundo beauty blogger que puede variar depende de donde lo compres. Yo lo compré acá en Buenos Aires y por lo tanto viene importado de Europa, donde la formula es mucho más suave que la que usan en Estados Unidos donde es recomendado usar como un tratamiento para granitos ya que es mas fuerte y podría resecar la piel.
A mí me funciona bárbaro como gel secador de granitos, es el mejor que probé hasta ahora. 
Lo compré porque me había salido un grano enorme al lado de la nariz que estaba super inflamado, lo apliqué en la zona antes de dormir y al día siguiente la zona estaba totalmente desinflamada... y el grano se fue a los 5 días! Es un producto milagroso que actúa eficazmente sin resecar el resto de la piel.

US haul part 2 & Highlights

Hi beauty bloggers, I'm back home and finally back blogging after some lovely weeks in the US. I had so much that I'm kinda sad I'm not there anymore. However, I enjoyed the time there to the fullest!

Now onto the haul, I knew this post was supposed to be a high-end one but I continued buying things at the drugstore and I found so many good products there that I didn't need to buy that much in Sephora.

Hola beauty bloggers! Volví a casa y a bloggear después de algunas semanas en USA. Me divertí tanto que ya extraño un poco. La vida para el turista es muy bella allá.

Como era de esperarse un viaje a USA no se puede desperdiciar y me llevé lo más que pude como vieron en la parte 1 del haul, sé que este blog era solo de marcas high-end pero como seguí yendo a Drugstores no necesité comprar tanto en lugares mas caros.

Even though I will review most of these products I want to say how impressed I am with some of them like the Mint Julep Mask Queen Helene which is great for oily skin, same as Lush Herbalism which is that green thing there and works as cleanser/scrub. Talking about make up I'm deeply loving Covergirl Last Blast Mascara that I even bought two of them, same thing happened with the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, a true dupe of Mac Blot Powder and for nails I have to say that Wet n Wild and Sinful Colors are awesome!

Now for those who are interested, here are a few highlights of my trip.

Back from Bolivia

 Hola a todas! No se dan una idea de cuanto extrañé el blog... Estuve casi un mes en Bolivia viajando por varias ciudades aprovechando que mi novio se queda en Argentina a pasar las fiestas.
Tener Internet en Bolivia no es tan popular como acá por lo cual ni se me ocurrió subir algo al blog, pero si estuve viendo varios blogs cuando encontraba wi-fi y de vez en cuando subía algo a mi Facebook e Instagram (@holafloblog)
En Bolivia la pasamos excelente, vimos paisajes increíbles y conocimos a tanta buena gente que no queríamos volver... pero acá estamos y no volví con las manos vacías.
Estas son mis nuevas adquisiciones que compré en los free-shops y algunas también en Bolivia. Algunas cosas son geniales otras no tan geniales.
En los próximos días/semanas voy a estar haciendo reviews y compartiendo mis experiencias con estos productos.

 Y ya falta muy poquito para mi giveaway :)

Hi to everyone! I missed blogging so much... I've been travelling around Bolivia almost an entire month.
It was quite complicated to find internet so I didn't even think about uploading something in my blog, but I did check other blogs everytime I found some wi-fi and I did upload some pictures to my Facebook and Instagram (@holafloblog). I'm quite often there :)
We had a great time in Bolivia, we've seen great landscapes and met such kind people that we didn't want to come back... but here we are, once again in Buenos Aires and I didn't come back empty-handed.
These are my new adquisitions that I found in free-shops and some others in Bolivia, some are amazing, some are not so amazing. In the following days/weeks I will be doing reviews and sharing my experiences with these products.

THAT GLOW!

Después de haber escuchando tan buenos comentarios sobre compras en StrawberryNET.com, decidí probar y pedir algunas cositas que hace rato quería. Lejos de defraudarme, tuve una muy buena experiencia de compra, mi cajita tardó unos 10 días en llegar con todo hermosamente envuelto en un papel muy lindo. Agradezco de antemano a mi novio por haberme comprado todo esto, porque después dice que yo digo que 'no me compra nada' bue... gracias bombom!

After reading such great shopping experiences on StrawberryNET.com, I decided to try and order a couple of things that I've been craving for a while. Far from getting dissapointed, I had one of the best shopping experiences ever, my package took less than 10 days to arrive and everything came beautifully wrapped. I thank my boyfriend in advance for paying everything 'cause later he will say that I say that 'he never buys anything for me' okay.. thanks sweety!

En clases de Makeup siempre usamos iluminador, antes de cursar no sabía de la existencia de este producto y me preguntaba que usaba Kim Kardashian para tener los pómulos tan luminosos.

Desde ese entonces quedé con muchas ganas de tener el mío. Opté por comprarme este Highlighter/Iluminador de The Balm ya que ví excelentes fotos y comentarios. Estoy sumamente satisfecha. 

No es mi mejor foto pero pensé que para que el efecto se note bien, había que sacar foto con flash. Después me di cuenta que me había puesto iluminador por todas partes y que daba cierto efecto de piel oleosa así que ojo las chicas con piel como la mía (oleosa). Lo ideal es mantener el centro de la cara mate.

En el mercado hay otros productos que dan ese brillo, vienen también en crema como el de Benefit pero no me parece el más ideal para pieles con manchas como la mía, generalmente nunca uso rubores o iluminadores en crema porque siento que en la aplicación, arrasan con el maquillaje que ya me puse, por lo tanto uso siempre productos en polvo.

Este iluminador me encanta! Es GENIAL para primavera/verano ya que en la mayoría de los casos es inevitable no agarrar un poco de color. Cuando no uso tanto bronzer como ese día de la foto, y uso un poco de base, corrector y le agrego este iluminador, el efecto es increible. La piel luce muy saludable! Siento que lo voy a utilizar todos los días ya que siempre quise tener luz en mi cara pero al tener granitos y manchas no queria resaltarlos. Pero como ahora solo tengo manchas y las tapo bien con la base, este iluminador da un efecto genial. Vicioso. Y si están bronceadas puede llegar a ser la perdición...

Before taking makeup lessons I had no idea about what a 'highlighter' was but I was always admiring Kim Kardashian's glowy cheek bones. Since I started using highlighter quite often at making lessons I wanted to get my own one and I chose The Balm - Mary Lou Manizer.

I read lots of reviews and saw many pictures and swatches and I was quite happy with everything. Now that I have mine I'm even more happy. It's just great!

The picture above is not one of my bests but I thought I would need to use the flash to show the glowy skin effect, after I saw the picture I realized I spread highlighter all over my face making it look oily. Therefore I wouldn't suggest using it all over your face if you have oily skin like mine, keeping the center of the face matte is the clue. 

As you might know there is other highlighters like the one from Benefit, but that's not just not made for me I think. I don't like using anything creamy (blushes, highlighters) since I have blemishes in my face and I would end up removing my foundation when applying these creamy things. So if you have blemishes or any kind of marks, best thing is using powder products.

I love this highlighter! Perfect for spring/summer that has just started here in South America. 

I really love the healthy skin effect it gives to my skin. I tend to have my face always matt and never use shimmery stuff cause I don't want my marks to stand out but since it seems that I'm getting rid of acne now, I think this is the best choice for getting the healthy glowy skin effect. Perfect thing.

Weekend on sale

Hola! Hace como 10 días que no escribía, extrañaba mucho el blog y mi ausencia no es por vacaciones si no porque trabajo todo el día y odio sacar fotos de noche así que tengo que esperar hasta el finde para tomar algunas fotos.
Estos dos últimos findes estuve saliendo por la ciudad, comiendo cosas dulces con amigas y encontrando algunas ofertas muy copadas! No soy de las personas que se dejan llevar por las liquidaciones de temporada pero esta vez no pude evitarlo. Necesitaba un par de botas 'sanas' para el invierno sueco ya que quizás vuelvo a Suecia el año que viene y como allá hace frío casi todo el año seguramente voy a estar usando botas y las que me compré para nuestro invierno ya se encuentran destrozadas.
Ya tenía este par de botitas de gamuza de Clona en vista pero como me habia comprado otras de cuero de la misma marca, no les dí mucha atención. Ni bien vi que bajaron a $199 ARS no lo dudé y saqué el cash! Al tener algo de plataforma son muy comodas para caminar, aparte no tienen cierre, es como ponerse una pantufla linda gigante jaja y el punto a favor? Me vino con tres muestras gratis de Shampoo + Acondicionador de Tres Emme!
El otro par de chatitas/mocasines/loafers (no sé bien que son) me lo compre en Lucerna, hacían 2x1 el sábado y únicamente se pagaba el par mas caro que fue el de mi madre que se compro unos tacos de 15 cms masomenos, una loca! También todo a buen precio pero sin muestras gratis jaja.
Finalmente pasé por el Alto Palermo decidida a comprarme un lipstick de MAC y primero me encontré con el stand de Maybelline y L'oreal y con tanto color me resultó imposible no comprar un esmalte de Maybelline. Amo la calidad y pigmentación de esta línea y también el precio... $11 ARS por algo que sé que lo voy a usar durante mucho tiempo vale la pena. Vale además aclarar que en ese stand del Alto Palermo se consiguen mucho más colores de esa marca que en Pigmento o Farmacity, así que a tener en cuenta :)

Hi! It's been a while since I last wrote, I've been working too much and I really don't like taking pictures in the night so I had to wait until the weekend to take them.
These last two weekends I've been going out with friends, had some delicious food and did some shopping. Winter is almost over here and all stores are on sale, and even thought I don't usually shop on sale season (I never find anything I like) I thought I could take a look and see if there was something interesting.
Found this leather platform boots at a very reasonable price (u$s 42) and even though winter here is almost over I thought I could really use them in Sweden since it's cold almost all year there and my current winter boots are kind of destroyed. Plus, it came with 3 free samples of Tres Emme Shampoo + Conditioner. Woho!
I also found these loafers with some details in gold and they are so comfy! too bad they didn't come with any free samples though, lol.
After that I went to a MAC store to buy a lipstick buy there was this Maybelline/L'oreal stand in the mall so I stopped and looked for a nail polish, Maybelline Colorama are so cheap I couldn't resist buying one, they are like u$s 2 each.

Muchas dirán: woww! Es un color un poco llamativo... Sí  jaja lo es, pero ya hace tiempo estaba buscando un tono de lapiz labial entre lila y rosa claro. Para ser más exacta estaba buscando el tono de lipstick que usa Sofía de Graduados (click en el nombre para ver la foto) que me encanta! obviamente ella usa mucho menos y yo le dí unas dos pasadas para que quede super pigmentado. Mi novio dice que es un poco demasiado para usarlo todos los días pero yo pienso que no, no me identifico usando un color rojo pero estos colores pasteles si.. no sé si todos los días y tan pigmentado pero lo uso frecuentemente.
Este MAC lipstick - Snob costó $155 ars y estoy super conforme, la pigmentación es excelente, tomás 80 vasos y el labial sigue intacto, no es cruel con los labios secos, de hecho lo encuentro muy hidratante así que seguramente siga comprando más de esta marca.

I know it looks like a 'HELLO I'M HERE'-lipstick but I'm actually loving it :) I've been looking for a light purple-light pink shade for a while and this is the one. My boyfriend says it's a bit too much for an everyday use but for me is okay. I applied two layers of lipstick so the color looks very pigmented and vibrant but with one it's just okay and it is still very creamy and moisturizing. I'm in love with this shade, love how it works on both pale and tan skin and the price is not bad :)
