Long Flight Beauty Essentials | Moving to Sweden :'(

Tomorrow I'm finally flying to Sweden to move with my boyfriend. I can't even express with words my levels of sadness and anxiety. I'm so sad to leave my dog, family and friends ( yes, dog comes first) but I knew this would happen and I guess nobody is 100% ready to do such big moves in life.
I've been granted with a 2 years work and residence visa so I'm not quite sure when I'm coming back to Argentina. I'm honestly not planning to ever come back here to live again, but I'd love to visit maybe next Christmas.

Going from Buenos Aires to Stockholm takes a life, it's a 16 hours flight with a 4 hours stop in London where I'm already planning to do some dutyfree damage. Last time I had only an hour stop so I could only see how beautiful Heathrow was but really didn't get anything.

One not so beautiful memory I have were my skin breakouts after that long flight. Actually, every time I fly I get horrible breakouts and during the flight my skin looks terrible; huge pores, super oily skin. Horrible.
This time I'm being smart and I've gathered some products I'll be needing during those 16 hours. Hopefully they will fight dehydration, dryness, oiliness and undesired bad smell. Take a look:

Farmacity Acne Care Facial Cleansing Wipes with Tea Tree Oil: Cleansing wipes with tea tree oil? Yes please! I tried them last night and they are amazing. Not as wet as the Neutrogena ones but they removed all my face make up.
Bioderma H20 Sebium Miscellar Water (Travel Size 100ml): How cute is this little bottle? Found it at a pharmacy, couldn't believe you can get these in Buenos Aires so easily. I pick this one since my skin gets extra oily during flights and all the Sebium line is specifically made for oily skin.
Tea Tree Therapy Tea Tree Oil (15 ml): You can never have too much tea tree oil. I'll be patting this onto my skin after removing my make up. I hope the passengers don't complain about the smell.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat (40 ml): Talked so much about this moisturizer... I'll simply take this one because it's gel based and does the job. My dermatologist recommended me to apply Bioderma's miscellar water + moisturizer several times during flights to prevent dehydration and future breakouts.
Biotherm Aquasorce Eye Perfector Roll-on Eye Cream (15 ml): This is great to massage tired puffy eyes. I guess I'll use it when I wake up If I manage to sleep.
The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter (50 ml): This is a very thick body cream but I'll be taking it with me as it's travel size and smell delicious.
Nivea Invisible Black & White Roll-on Dehodorant: I've never tried this one but I find it useful since I love wearing black and white clothes at the same time. Plus, I don't be stinky when I meet my boyfriend after 11 months...
On that little transparent bottle I've sprayed a little of my favorite perfume, Katy Perry Meow. It's sweet and fresh and the original bottle it's gorgeous.. I'll be reviewing it soon.

I'm also taking a few make-up items for when I arrive. I haven't seen my boyfriend for 11 months and I don't want to meet him with my I-just-flew-16-hours-to-see-you kind of face. I'll be using my Revlon Colorstay Foundation in #180, MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC30, MAC Blot Pressed Powder with my Real Techniques Powder Brush. A little bit of my Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner and Jordana's Best Lash Extreme Mascara, and on the lips some Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Lovesick .

Soo, now I gotta finish packing and go to my grandma's house to do a little goodbye party. I'll be back soon with many pictures of Stockholm and my new flat. If you want you can also follow me on Instagram where I'll be pretty much uploading pics all the time.

What else would you recommend me to bring to the plane?
Love love love, Flo x

Tea Tree Therapy Tea Tree Oil (15 ml): Más tea tree oil?

Besotes a todas, Flo x

  5. This is a bittersweet life changing event. It's good to see dedicated people like yourself traveling the distance and going through the changes to be with someone you love. Not too many people are willing to do what you're doing. That's such a nice travel kit you have there. I've never flew for 16 hours...wow, that gotta be tough. Wish you good luck and a safe trip.

  11. All the best with your move from Sweden. I am from Denmark, and still have my whole family there, but have moved to Australia to be with my now husband.
So I also know what its like to be a part as hubby and I was also a part for long stretches of time, before I made the move. And was a massive move too.
I tend to go back to Denmark once a year to visit my parents and brother, and never look forward to the 28-30 hours of travelling time, I've done for the past 10 years, and it just doesn't get any easier.
My skin is never enjoying it either, so I am usually travelling makeup free - and then cleanser and do my makeup in Copenhagen, before I board for the last local flight, so I arrived as 'fresh' faced as possible. Cleansing wipes, a face mist, a good moisturiser, a hand cream and a lip balm are some of my must have on-board essentials.
Once again all the best, and enjoy the cold Scandinavian Xmas - it is very charming, but I'm not missing the cold weather...

  20. Hola Flooo!

  22. Looks like these are some really good quality beauty products! I don't know about what to take on a plane because I never take any beauty products with me but I've heard that there are special nose sprays to prevent dry mucosa.

  25. The salivation hauls the dampness out of your lips, and the dry air keeps on making it drier and drier. The straightforward answer for the entirety of this is to do your skincare routine before you step foot on a plane or even in the air terminal.
