Skincare | My favorite combo: Tea Tree Oil + European Clay Powder Mask

Happy Friday everybody! How exciting is to talk about something that really works?
Today I wanted to review my favorite face mask at the moment, that is a mix of Tea Tree Oil and European Clay Powder
Have you ever heard about Clay Powder? It helps draw out impurities from the pores and remove debris from under the skin, decreasing pore size and improving skin tone as it is an internal and external cleanser.
I got the Now Foods European Clay Powder a while ago and since my skin is oily I've been mixing it with water to make a mask that tightens my pores. It has worked beautifully so far.
As seen in the back side of the product, if you have dry skin you can mix this powder with some oils, let it dry and work for 15 mins and it's done. I really like that this can be used on all skin types.

Like I said, I mix this Clay Powder with water and it gives greats results drying out the skin a bit and tightening pores but I just needed extra help as my skin is going mental lately and I have more breakouts than ever and as my Effaclar Duo wasn't enough I bought some Tea Tree Therapy Tea Tree Oil. I may add that I was scared of using anything oily in my very oily skin...
Tea tree oil contains consituents called terpenoids, which have been found to have antiseptic and antifungal activity. The compound terpinen-4-ol is the most abundant and is thought to be responsible for most of tea tree oil's antimicrobial activity. It can be used for acne, athlete's foot, eczema, boils, as antiseptic, psoriasis and more.
I've been using some tea tree oil drops directly onto my pimples and it disinfects all the area killing the bacteria. My skin usually looks a lot better the day and very important, it doesn't get any oilier.

And what better than mixing two great products together? I will show you how I do this wonderful mask:

Felíz viernes a todas!

Me funciona genial!

Since I only want to cover my cheeks and chin (acne area) I use:  I teaspoon of clay powder, 2 teaspoons of water, once is mixed up I add 4 drops of tea tree oil and mix again.

With very clean fingers I apply this mask onto my face and let it dry out for about 15 mins or maybe a little more. It can be a bit itchy the first minutes.
The tea tree oil with its antiseptic properties combined with clay powder that works as an internal and external cleanser is a great combo for acne prone skin. This is such an effective mask and I'm loving it so so much that I had to share it with you all.

Have you tried tea tree oil or clay powder yet? What's your favorite face mask?
Flo x
